70`s is my age, my era... I would so want to live as a hippie or a post-hippie, maybe I lived.. who knows, if reancarnation ever existed.. Well album Stormbringer (~1974) is generally good, especially classical Soldier of Fortune, Stormbringer and The Gypsy. I am definitely finding LP of this album.

She is a singer, pianist and composer and her style is like, let`s say a fusion of jazz, avant-garde, oriental and mugam (a traditional improvisational style of Azerbaijan-taken from wiki-)

Alter Bridge! These guys know how to rock!

Honestly, after losing myself with "Find the Real", I gave myself a break with Alter Bridge and now it seems like it was a way long break. Apparently, I totally missed the great album "BlackBird". The guitar riffs, solos and amazing voice of Myles Kennedy and together with the effort they put in this album, Alter Bridge has made a big success. I can say that BlackBird is one of the best albums in 2000 years. So, listen to it! A good medicine if you are craving for real rock!

Long time no blog.. I was just listening to "After" from Riverside and realized that I have loved quite a lot intro songs. Each led me to another universe maybe. The Alan Parsons Project

I am not sure how much Alan Parsons is famous. To admit, I heard about him after listening Pink Floyd deeply and surveying the technical background of their music. Even though you have not heard the name, this man is actually famous in all terms. First of all, he has been in music industry for ages, (30 years smth?), worked in the records of Beatles (Abbey Road) and Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon), did the sound engineering behind them, has kind of 20 albums or smth.. and this is weird. Please listen to the following song, I am sure you will remember it from somewhere (likewise me remembering the melodies from the commercials used in 80`s).

I have listened "I Robot", "Eye in the Sky" and "Valid Path" albums and loved the classic "Old and Wise", "Children of the Moon" and "Eye in the Sky". The strange thing is that I had not known that I Robot and Eye In the Sky were such old albums before I found them two years ago. You do not realize it from the tones, melodies or technical arrangement in the songs. They should be so much modern in the period when they were composed. As I told you there are 20 albums of Alan Parsons Project, therefore I just downloaded some other 3 albums and it is a pleasure to explore them.

A "must see" film..

The Fall gives a start with Beethoven 7th symphony, Movement 2: Allegretto. Gives an idea?
Well I am sure you will love the great performance of the cutest little girl, Catinca Untaru together with the scenery recorded using the best locations in the world. Yes that is correct. The director, Tarsem Singh personally travelled around the world and used the greatest places to include in his film.

Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere but not here

One of my favorite songs.. It totally blows me whenever I listen.. It is a reason to cry, to pity your life maybe...

The synthesis at the beginning and the entrance of guitar around 1:45 makes a perfect intro. While listening the stinging, hurtful melody, the song gives you hope. It is surprising that even though the melody tries out to mix in some happy feelings with the chords, the tones behind (inspiration from Pink Floyd I believe) do their duty to stick to the depressive mood it has been since the intro. Some say this is a song of a soldier who comes to the point of death and regrets for what he has done. Let me leave the explanation here to the song and let you feel it yourself.
